Last week, four G4 members presented their research at TFS (Topic, Focus, Subject) organised by the University of Osnabrück.

 

  • Hannah presented her poster “Position meets function: Expletives as expressions of grammatical necessity from an LFG perspective”
  • Kim presented her poster “Pragmatic chillo: subject, topic, and focus?”
  • Bernat gave a talk “Experiencer subjects and case-marking patterns in Jê languages”
  • Liliane Haegeman gave two talks, “Register-specific subject omission, second conjunct subject ellipsis and the role of SubjP” and “Subject ellipsis and the il/on asymmetry in French”
